Good day, everyone, and welcome to the Capital One second quarter 2022 earnings conference call. [Operator instructions] Thank you. I would now like to turn the call over to Ms. Danielle Dietz, managing vice president of global finance.

Thanks, Danielle, and good afternoon, everyone. I'll start on Slide 3 of tonight's presentation. In the second quarter, Capital One earned $2 billion or $4.96 per diluted common share. On a linked quarter basis, period-end loans held for investment grew 6% and average loans grew 4% driven by growth across all of our segments.
